Most people will experience low back pain during their lifetime. 20% will go onto develop chronic low back pain or persistent episodes of back pain. Why does that happen? In this video I explain a few causes of chronic low back pain and what treatment is effective for low back pain. The good news is that although back pain is common, there are many treatments that have been proven effective.
Chiropractic, physiotherapy, exercise and cognitive behavioural therapy are all a great place to start. Making changes to your lifestyle and habits can be essential. Spread the stress. If you spend all day sitting, make sure you go for regular walks. If you spend all day lifting, do yoga or cardio. Basically do something different to your usual routine. Keep positive, keep active.
